another project we did for BHLDN are these bundles of faux bois chalk. we made a mold of sticks that stephen hand carved, then cast each piece one by one. the sets are tied together with vintage cotton ribbon that we letterpress printed using old lead type. they're functional as chalk, but also make a sweet token of affection to share with a friend.

we're so excited to be working with BHLDN. most of you know it holds a special place in my heart and we've been having lots of fun making new things just for them. this collection of music boxes just might be my favorite. they're one of a kind, covered in vintage wallpaper scraps, with a vintage brass name plate holding a small letterpress printed card. wait, there's more... when you turn the wooden knob, they play "here comes the bride".
i fell in love with the idea of having my knuckles tattooed because of ellen's work and it's no coincidence that we both have a “LYLAS” tattoo. if you're in chicago, make sure to visit firecat projects to see an amazing collection of her painted gloves.
it's FORAGE's first birthday! to celebrate, we made a "happy birthday" bow tie that's available in the shop today. we've been saving this plaid, 1940's, deadstock fabric for a while and this was the perfect time to use it. it's a limited edition of 21, but stephen's already snagged one for his collection - so that leaves 20 up for grabs.
a giant THANK YOU to ariela rose at grid magazine for including our bow ties in their wedding issue. we're loving the photos which were taken by emily wren.
the super cute models... are real love birds: rick banister & ada egloff and they're getting married in just a few weeks. if ada looks familiar, it's probably because you've visited her shop: oma vintage. cute, cute, cute.
