our second FORAGE bow tie edition is being released at of a kind. HOORAY! "this bow tie doesn’t call for a black-tie affair. it doesn’t call for a special occasion at all. the beauty of the design - with its ultra classic shape and muted blue & white diagonal stripes - is that you can toss it on with a basic white shirt, an oxford, or even a checked button down for a little pattern mixing." click here to grab one before they're all gone, since we only made 35 - they wont last long!

playing with shapes is one reason why we fell in love with making our own bow ties. there are so many variations you can make with just the slightest change. during the last year we've created over a dozen patterns but our very first one is still the most popular. our "thistle" silhouette is classic in it's shape and the simplest to tie into the quintessential bow. read more about our favorite patterns at of a kind.

top secret

6211486387_466e309404_b

a few months ago, the amazing ladies at bash please asked us to make a custom collection of  bow ties for a private party. obviously, we said Y-E-S, but the details are so top secret that we can't tell you anything.

we searched for fabrics inspired by a killer mood-board that paige & kelly put together and found 18 different patterns: plaids, florals and even a paisley. we've been busy packing up the entire collection but are so excited that we just couldn't wait to share photos.

Untitled-7

ok, can you keep a secret? there was enough fabric left over to make a few extra bow ties. if you're in love with one of these patterns, set your alarm - we will be adding them to the shop on monday morning at 8am.

mustache season (almost)

we first made our mustache on a stick©  over 5 years ago. it all started because stephen can't really grow one of his own (it's sad but true). naturally, he dreamt of all the staches he wish he could grow and started carving them from wood. one day, i came home to find his collection and immediately said "stephen, put those on a stick"...

How it all started

...the rest is photo booth history. we've made hundreds, probably over a thousand and still love seeing photos of them in use!

now, looking dapper isn't the only reason to grow a mustache or pose for a photo with one of ours. recently, stephen met with one of the fellas from movember, a campaign to raise awareness about men's health (specifically cancer) and wanted to get involved! so we're sharing our classic mustache on a stick with as many people as we can and asking them to get involved too.

Movember 2011_Get_Involved_splash1

what is movember?

no matter the city or country, movember strives to change established habits and attitudes men have about their health, to educate men about the health risks they face, and to act on that knowledge, thereby increasing the chances of early detection, diagnosis and effective treatment. since its humble beginnings in melborne australia, movember has grown into a global movement inspiring more than 1.1 million mo-bros and mo-sistas to participate.

on november 1st, you can register at movember.com with a clean-shaven face. for the rest of the month selfless and generous men, known as mo-bros, groom, trim and wax their way into fine moustachery. supported by the women in their lives, mo-sisitas, mo-bros effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of november. through their actions and words they raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issues of mens health.

so... now it's your turn to get involved. make sure you and/or your favorite fella registers by clicking the link below:

Register_Home_851_395

all month long we'll be introducing you to more than 15 blogs who are helping us raise awareness about this great project by hosting a mustache on a stick giveaway. if you know someone who's looking for a faux stache to help support their mo-bro tell them to visit our shop - from now until november 30th we'll be donating 100% of the profits from our mustache on a stick to movember.
